NIVA organises workshops, seminars and courses in the area of occupational health and safety. The training is arranged in cooperation with Nordic and international research groups and lecturers, and is very advanced in level.
NIVAEducation is based on the latest research results as well as on practical experience and is open to all. However, due to the advanced level of teaching, participants with lower levels of knowledge of occupational health research and trends might find some courses hard to follow. The teaching language is English.
NIVA training is usually held in central and easily accessible locations in one of the five Nordic countries (Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway or Sweden).
All the activities are professionally organised and provide for not only high level intellectual stimuli but also attractive surroundings and well-developed social programmes.
Registration to a NIVA course
To register you need to fill in the registration form. A confirmation letter with detailed information about the course, a preliminary programme, and information on accommodation will be sent after the registration deadline.
Scholarships
Applicants from North-western Russia or the St. Petersburg area can apply for a
NIVA scholarship to cover the course fee and accommodation.

Credits
In many cases you could also get academic credits for your postgraduate studies. For further information turn to the NIVA office.
Course fee and payment
The course and workshops vary in price. Please note that the fees do not cover meals nor accommodation. The course fee should be paid to NIVA's bank account latest four weeks before the start of the course.
Accommodation
NIVA courses and seminars usually take place at a course venue with full board accommodation. Accommodation will be reserved by NIVA, and payment should be made to NIVA or directly to the hotel.
Cancellation
When cancelling a course NIVA does not take any responsibility for participant liabilities.
