Board

The NIVA Board is appointed by representatives of the Nordic governments and it is resposible to the Nordic Council of Ministers. The Board makes the strategic decisions together with the NIVA director.

The Board consists of five members, one from each Nordic country. The Board meetings are normally held twice per year.

The chairman of the board is in 2012 communications director Sture Bye, from STAMI, Norway. The chairmanship rotates according to the Nordic Council of Ministers country chairmanship rotation.
